Few months ago, I was asked about La Roche Posay Uvidea Anthelios products for Japanese market, from one of the US customers. As La Roche Posay is a French brand under the French giant, L’Oreal. L’Oreal is a company who are quite good at localizing each markets. I had thought that they were selling the same La Roche Posay line in Asia-Passific.
What we are able are described in Japanese, mainly.
In Japan, they are selling those liquid/ cream sunscreens now.
- La Roche Posay Uvidea Anthelios Tone-Up Rosy/ Light (30g, SPF50+・PA++++)
- La Roche Posay Uvidea Anthelios BB Cream 01 Light /02 Natural (30g, SPF50+・PA++++)
- La Roche Posay Uvidea Anthelios Melt-in Tinted (30g, SPF50+・PA++++)
- La Roche Posay Uvidea XL Melt-in Cream (30g, SPF50+・PA++++)
- La Roche Posay Untelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid
- La Roche Posay Untelios XL Wet Skin
Seems we can ship UVidea 4 line (6 products) by air.
Even they are localised, seems all of they are made in France, but probably some of they are not sold in your countries/ cities.
What I have now are those three: La Roche Posay UviIdea Untelios Tone-Up Rosy, La Roche Posay Uvidea Anthelios Tone-Up Light, and La Roche Posay Uvidea Untelios Melt-in Tinted.
Here is my swatch. (I am so sorry, I misspelled as “Untelios”, and it should be “Anthelios”, after I published this article. It should be changed, but the original photos were already deleted!)
Can you find any differences? Maybe no.
In my eyes, Tone-up Light does simply leave a white caste. Tone-up Rosy does also leave a white caste, but it is a pinky. I don’ t find anything “tint”, it should be glitters, I had thought, in Melt-in Tinted, it does also leave a beige-white cast.
It is current trend that “white cast” sunscreens are described as “tone-up”. When you see the products named with “Tone-up”, you should better to think it is a kind of sunscreens with white cast. They changes our facial tone lighter than original to wear lighter shade foundations. It is really strange that seeing those who are wearing MUCH lighter shades than their necks. Usually people are wearing those “tone-up” products on necks too.
In person, the biggest problem is that there are no waterproof effect, as I am showing in the rightest.
Seems we can ship UVidea 4 line (6 products) by air. I am wondering whether I am going to deal this products regularly. The price for UV idea (30g, SPF50+・PA++++) should be JPY4,560 (without the shipping). When you need them, please ask us freely!
Note: I am not going to buy BB creams and Melt in Cream in future. This Tone Up Rosy full bottle is going to a lady who I know. This swatch is my FIRST, and FINAL swatch for La Roche Posay sunscreens in this formula. Generally I am satisfied with Allie Extra UV Facial Gel N for my daily use, what is waterproof, it is essential for my summer using. In this article, it is really enough to satisfy my interest for this Uvidea line/ formula. I described all of what I know. Please do not ask me about BB creams or Melt in Cream with/ without purchasing. I am not going to reply you.
